Tippetts Weaver Architects, a Lancaster based architectural firm, received the Citation Award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Central Pennsylvania Chapter for its design of Alliance Aviation, located at, and owned by, the Lancaster Airport.

Entries were judged for the success with which the project has met its individual requirements. Citations are given for projects illustrating a high level of design conceptualization and implementation.  The jury felt that Alliance Aviation was a clever expansion with its use of timber framing, expansive windows, and well-appointed furnishing creating comfortable and contemporary spaces.  The creative layout of the space on the second floor compliments the function of the ground floor and ensures that the building is well utilized.
