The Lancaster Airport Authority and SkyWest Airlines are pleased to announce that United Express flights are now available for purchase between Lancaster Airport (LNS) and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD). The first United Express flight, operated by SkyWest, from ORD to LNS will begin on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, and flights from LNS to ORD will begin on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. Each of the daily round‑trip flights to Chicago will be aboard 50‑seat Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft. Southern Airways will continue to serve Pittsburgh, PA (PIT) and Washington Dulles, DC (IAD) until SkyWest service begins.

With direct access to United’s global hub in Chicago, connectivity will be greatly expanded. Passengers can now connect to destinations worldwide, supporting the region’s growing demands. Flights are available for booking at united.com.

This expanded service brings a new level of convenience to residents and visitors in the Lancaster region. Flying locally means travelers can avoid long drives and reduce overall travel time. Free passenger parking and shorter lines also create an easier travel experience from start to finish.

“This partnership will provide more options and opportunities that currently do not exist to our local travelers looking to take a business trip, vacation or those looking to have family or clients come to visit. They’ll also enjoy jet service, free parking and a hassle-free airport experience,” said Ed Foster, Airport Executive Director. “The Lancaster Airport is excited to partner with SkyWest to bring new opportunities for business and leisure travel from Lancaster to virtually anywhere in the world.”
