Honoring 25 Years of Dedicated Service
The Lancaster Airport Authority recently hosted a small gathering to celebrate James “Jim” Cunningham’s 25 years of service to Lancaster County and the aviation community. Jim served on the Lancaster Airport Authority Board of Directors since January 2001. He served various positions, including Chairman, since 2017. Throughout his tenure, he guided the airport through major infrastructure projects, expansion of aeronautical and non-aeronautical development, and the return and expansion of commercial air service.
During the event, Jim was presented with a plaque recognizing his many contributions. Colleagues who have worked alongside him shared remarks reflecting on his leadership, mentorship, and commitment. Members of his family were also in attendance, proudly joining in this special recognition.
In addition to his decades of leadership with the Authority, Jim’s distinguished background includes years of military service. This experience helped shape his values, discipline, and leadership ability.
The Airport Authority extends its sincere gratitude for his 25 years of exceptional service and leadership. His lasting impact will continue to guide the organization for years to come.
