Lancaster Airport (LNS) is excited to announce a new nonstop service from Lititz, PA (LNS) to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) with United Airlines, operated by SkyWest. The inaugural inbound flight from Chicago arrived in Lancaster on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, and the first outbound flight departed from Lancaster to Chicago on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. Tickets are available for sale directly through United’s website.

Flights are being operated on reliable 50-seat CRJ200 regional jets, marking a significant milestone for Lancaster Airport. With connections through United’s global hub in Chicago, Lancaster travelers will enjoy expanded access to destinations around the world.

Flying locally through LNS offers a convenient, stress-free travel experience, including free parking and smaller crowds. Travelers can spend less time navigating traffic and terminals, and more time enjoying their journey.

“The Lancaster Airport team is excited to officially announce a new nonstop regional service to Chicago, operated by SkyWest Airlines,” said Ed Foster, Executive Director of the Lancaster Airport Authority. “This service connects our local community to United Airlines’ extensive global network through its Chicago hub, replacing previous turboprop routes with enhanced connectivity and convenience.

United Airlines offers one of the most comprehensive international route networks among North American carriers, serving hundreds of destinations across more than 70 countries. These new flights will provide our community with greater access to destinations around the world.

In addition, the service will add approximately 28,000 seats annually, further boosting the region’s economic impact. As air service continues to grow, so do opportunities. This service creates new jobs at the airport and supports local businesses. Best of all, travelers can fly local, avoid long drives to other airports, and enjoy free parking while they’re away.”

“Lancaster Airport’s new United service operated by SkyWest Airlines is a great addition to its flight offerings,” said Jeffrey Vasser, President & CEO of Discover Lancaster, the official destination marketing organization for Lancaster County.  “More choices for both inbound and outbound travelers mean more airport activity and the subsequent economic benefits that come from such growth.”

“Clair Global is excited to see Lancaster Airport continue to grow with new service to Chicago,” said Troy Clair, CEO of Clair Global. “This added route is great news for Lancaster County, making travel easier for local residents, businesses, and visitors.”
