The Lancaster Airport is seeking an overnight Security Officer to join our team. This is a temporary position, with the opportunity to go to a permanent position sometime in the future.
The primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and security of our premises during nighttime hours, with the potential to add additional duties in other work areas as needed. Hours required are 11 pm to 5 am Sunday through Friday, and 9 pm to 5 am Saturdays. Starting wage is $15-$18/hour depending on experience.
This position provides the following types of services:
- Patrol the property to ensure it’s secure, including buildings, gates, and fences.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and CCTV cameras.
- Respond to alarms and emergencies and investigate incidents and suspicious activity.
- Control access to buildings and areas, and direct traffic.
- Complete daily reports that include observations, surveillance footage, and other information.
- Enforce laws and regulations, such as those related to trespassing.
- Escort visitors around the premises.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations.
Minimum job requirements:
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass FBI criminal background check
- Current driver’s license & safe driving record
